GA Secondary TeachMeet
GA Secondary TeachMeet
23/11/2025
Online
Get together with friends and colleagues and share your innovative ideas for teaching secondary geography.
Overview
GA TeachMeets give a chance to geography teachers and educators to collaborate and share their ideas in an informal setting.
To participate in our TeachMeets you can either attend as a viewer, ready with questions for the presenters, or you can present your own idea to the group.
Guidance on presentations
Presentations should be roughly six minutes long and include a simple idea which will make a difference to young people learning geography. Ideally this will also have something that attendees can take away and try in their own context.
The format of your presentation can take any form, whether slides, a short video or a simple discussion. Examples are useful though to ensure people attending have something to take away.
If you'd like to get involved and share your idea, you can submit it using the following link:
Guidance for attendees
If you are attending the TeachMeet either as a presenter or to get involved in the conversation, make sure to keep your cameras on and microphones muted unless called on to speak. You can raise your hand in the room to get the facilitator's attention or type questions into the chat feed.
After each presentation there will be a chance to ask any questions you have about the idea that's been shared.
Though this is an informal event, people joining will be expected to maintain a respectful and open atmosphere.
